Fraudster held in Dhaka

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) claimed to have arrested a fraud who used to impersonate as a government high-up to extort money from other officials.

Arrestee Md Sohel Islam alias Rana, 40, used to extort money by threatening the government officials of making them OSD (officer on special duty), Rab said in a press release today.

He was arrested yesterday from a residential building in East Rajabazar area of Dhaka, the release said.

The law enforcers also seized seven bottles of bear and 70 grams of cannabis from his possession.
