Golam Sarwar made PIB chairman

The government yesterday appointed Editor of the Daily Samakal Golam Sarwar as chairman of the board of directors of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).

Information ministry confirmed his appointment saying that the post had been vacant following the death of former Chairman Habibur Rahman Milon.

Golam Sarwar who won Ekushey Padak in 2013 has got the appointment for two years, said an official at the ministry.
