JS body for increasing schools under MPO

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Education Ministry yesterday suggested the government increase the number of schools under the monthly pay order (MPO) in the current fiscal year.

The committee came up with the recommendation at its 11th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad with Abdul Quddus in the chair, said a Parliament Secretariat press release.

The meeting decided that the parliamentary watchdog, headed by its chairman, will place a demand to the prime minister for increasing budgetary allocation for the education ministry.
