Man stabbed dead in Khilgaon

A man was allegedly stabbed to death by miscreants in Khilgaon area of Dhaka last night.

The deceased -- Abul Basher Talukder (32) -- was a construction material supplier, who used to reside in Goran area.

The victim's brother Uzzal Talukder said his brother was stabbed near Nurbag Water Pump around 9:00pm yesterday when he was walking to his home, which left him critically injured.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead.

Uzzal alleged that another construction material supplier Saiful and his men falsely implicated his brother in a drugs case, following previous business enmity.

Basher came out of jail on bail nearly two months ago.

It was Saiful and his men who stabbed Bashar to death, he alleged.

Saiful could not be contacted for comments.

Mashiure Rahman, officer-in-charge of Khilgaon Police Station, said they are trying to arrest the suspected killers.
