New leaders of DU alumni take charge

AK Azad and Ranjan Karmaker, newly elected president and general secretary respectively of the 40-member executive committee of Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA), yesterday took charge for the next three years.

Rakib Uddin Ahmed, the association's former president, handed over the responsibilities to them at a programme held in its office at Dhaka University's (DU's) Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.

Azad is the chairman of Hamim Group and former chairman of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) while Ranjan owns an NGO.
