No second chance for DU admission: SC

The Supreme Court yesterday upheld the High Court order that maintained Dhaka University's decision to allow an admission seeker to sit for the university entry examination only once. 

The SC passed the order after dismissing an appeal against the HC verdict.

In the appeal, guardians of 26 admission seekers prayed to the SC to direct the DU authorities to allow the students, who passed HSC examinations last year, to sit for the test a second time this year.

The HC on July 8 rejected the writ petition filed by the guardians and upheld the DU decision that barred admission seekers from sitting for the test for a second time. DU took the decision on October 15 last year.
