Obituary

Md Ashraful Hussain, a well-known name in the shipping industry, passed away due to a heart attack on Monday. He was 82.

He started his career in the shipping industry in 1958, and later joined National Shipping Corporation of Pakistan. He was also closely associated with Bangladesh Shipping Corporation during its formative period, and served in senior executive capacity in Gulf East Ship Management, and Norasia of Hong Kong. His namaz-e-janaza will be held after Esha prayers at Azad Mosque in Gulshan today. He will be buried in Feni tomorrow.
