Pak state bank joint director denied entry at Dhaka airport
A joint director of the State Bank of Pakistan was sent back from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital yesterday because she did not have visas to visit Bangladesh.
Asma Khalid arrived at the airport by a flight of Qatar Airways around 6:00pm on Sunday, an official of immigration police told The Daily Star.
"We did not allow her to get out of the airport as she was not carrying a Bangladeshi visa," the official said, adding that there was no agreement of issuing on-arrival visas between the two countries.
The bank official took a flight of Pakistan Airlines around 1:30pm from the airport to go back to her country, said the immigration official, preferring anonymity.
