President for dev through sustainable tourism

President M Abdul Hamid has urged all concerned parties to ensure development through sustainable tourism industry.

In a message, on the occasion of the World Tourism Day on Sunday, the president said tourism plays an important role in the development of local communities because tourism and local culture, heritage and custom are related with each other. It is essential to upgrade and implement laws and policies for flourishing tourism industry in Bangladesh.

This year's theme is "One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities". He hoped that the government's publicity project for tourism "Visit Bangladesh 2016" will play an important role in flourishing the sector fully in the world arena utilising country's natural beauty, archeology, diversified culture and simplified lifestyle of countrymen.
