Seminar on marine fisheries lubricants held in Ctg

Demand of lubricants in marine fisheries sector is growing as the maritime boundary of Bangladesh has been increased. A national standard of lubricants should be determined as the ocean-going or marine fisheries vessels are motivated to collect lubricants made locally.

Lub-rref (Bangladesh) Limited Managing Director Mohammed Yousuf expressed this opinion at a seminar on Marine Fisheries Lubricants held at a hotel in the port city on Tuesday evening to share experiences of the sector.

"At present, ocean-going vessels are collecting lubricants from our country. Marine Fisheries is also a big sector for lubricants. If we can ensure environment friendly product, the sector would be an important one for national investors," Yousuf said.

The necessity of proper recycling of disposals and ensuring standard of the products were also discussed at the seminar.
