Unite to promote Bangabandhu's ideals: Dr Kamal

Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain yesterday urged the people to unite against terrorism, extortion, corruption, money laundering, and looting  to establish the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He was addressing a meeting organised by the party at Jatiya Press Club in the capital on the occasion of National Mourning Day.

He said Bangabandhu tried to remove economic discriminations, exploitation and deprivation from society.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had fought in an uncompromising manner to protect the peoples' rights, added the eminent jurist.

Bangabandhu's greatest ability was that he could unite the people, he said, adding that if the people stood together now, the defeated forces could not harm the country.

"My best degree is I was a protege of Bangabandhu. His ideology needs to be reached to the general people," he added.
