Beheaded body of madrasa student found in Chuadanga

Police recovered the beheaded body of a madrasa student from a brick kiln in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga early today.

The deceased was identified as Abir Hossain, 10, son of Ali Hossain of Kaliganj upazila in Jhenidah district, our Kushtia correspondent reports quoting Munshi Asadauzzman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Alamdanga Police Station.

Informed by locals, a team of Alamdanga police recovered the body around 7.30am from the brick kiln in Bhalaipur area near Koiradanga.

Abir was a resident student at Koiradanga Nurani Hafejia Madrassa and Yatemkhana at Koiradanga in the upazila. He stayed at the madrasa boarding, the OC added.

Investigation was going on regarding the issue, he said.
