15 idols vandalised in Satkhira

Criminals vandalised at least 15 idols at a temple at Karmakarpara in Ashashuni upazila of the district early yesterday.

Amit Som Ghosh, president of Karmakarpara Sarbajanin Durga Puja Temple, said a gang stormed into the temple in the area and damaged 15 idols of different Hindu goddesses.

The incident came to light in the morning when devotees went to the temple.

Officer-in-Charge of Ashashuni Police Station Ajmal Huda confirmed the matter.
