Auto-rickshaw driver murdered

A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was murdered in Dupchanchia upazila of the district yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Abdus Salam Pramanik, 35, son of late Jasim Uddin, alias Lalu Pramanik, of Kalaikuri village under Adamdighi upazila of the district.

Police said they recovered the body, which was abandoned by the roadside, on information given by locals. The body was identified by relatives of the deceased anda later sent to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Quoting relatives, police said Salam went out of his house on Friday morning and did not return. The criminals might have killed him to take away his auto-rickshaw.
