BSF returns body of cattle trader
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) returned the body of a Bangladeshi cattle trader on Wednesday night.
The victim, Manirul Islam, 23, son of Munsur Ali of Balunda Village under Benapole Port Port Police Station, was shot dead on Putkhali border early Tuesday.
Farid Uddin, in- charge of BGB-23 Putkhali camp, said the Indian border guards of Angrail camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders while they were returning home with cattle through Putkhali border around 3:00am on Tuesday.
Manirul sustained bullets and died instantly while others managed to escape, he added. Later, the Indian border guards took away the body.
