Court issues arrest order against headmaster

The Judicial Magistrate's Court in Dashmina upazila of the district issued an arrest warrant on Wednesday against the headmaster of Dashmina Model High School for misappropriating money from two accounts of the school by forging signature of the chairman of the managing committee.

Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Hossain issued the arrest warrant against headmaster Md Salah Uddin Saikat following a case filed by Golam Mostafa, chairman of the managing committee, with the court.

According to the case statement, headmaster Md Salah Uddin Saikat withdrew Tk 1.32 lakh from Dashmina branch of Janata Bank (account No 4081) from February 1 to March 31, and Tk 1.25 lakh from Dashmina branch of Agrani Bankon (account No 100) on April 5 this year, using forged cheques.

"I filed the case as per decision of the school's managing committee," Golam Mostafa said.
