Feni Jubo League activist murdered

A Jubo League activist was stabbed to death near his house in Feni Sadar upazila last night.

Deceased Rabiul Haque Manik, 32, of Pashchim Fazilpur village in Sadar upazila, was a house painter by profession, a correspondent from Feni reports.

Police and family sources said miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons around 11:00am yesterday when he was returning home from Fazilpur bazar.

Hearing his screams, locals rushed to the spot and took him to 250-bed General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Mozibul Haque, chairman of Fazilpur union parishad and the union’s Awami League president, confirmed that Manik was a member of AL’s youth wing Jubo League.

He demanded immediate arrest and punishment of the killers.

Omor Haider, inspector of Bogdadia police outpost, also confirmed the murder.
