Fratricide

A local Awami League leader was killed allegedly by his younger brother at Bazrapur village in Moheshpur upazila of the district on Tuesday. The deceased, Mozibur Rahman Khokon, 69, son of late Kadar Ali Tarafdar of the village, was president of ward No 3 unit of AL. Police and locals said Khokon and his younger brother Azibor Rahman Mohon locked in an altercation over distribution of mangoes. At one stage, Mohon gave a blow on his elder brother's face. He fell down on the ground and became unconscious. He later died on the way to hospital. Locals caught Mohon and handed him over to police.
