IG Prisons gets threat

Inspector General of Prisons Brig Gen Syed Iftekhar Uddin today said he had received threat.

Iftekhar received the threat by a Short Message Service (SMS) from the mobile phone No. 01756817269 around 4:00pm today.

The person sent the SMS against transfer of a prisoner to Jessore Jail.

"Mr. IG, Have you gone mad? Ramzan Eid is upcoming, at this moment you sent my brother to Jessore Jail.!! without any reason. This time I will not spare you. From human rights commission to bureau of consipiracy, I will make you naked and exposed everywhere," the message reads.

The sender said he would start "war against you."

Claiming himself to be a journalist, the sender swore that he would write "in every newspaper everyday against you".
