Kid drowns in pond

A minor boy drowned in a pond at Nayapara in Sribordi upazila of the district on Wednesday morning. The dead is Siam, 6, son of Chingu Miah of the village. Locals said Siam slipped into the pond near their house when he was playing on its bank.  Later, local people recovered the body from the pond.
