UP member held with pistol

Police arrested a man with a pistol and two bullets at his house at Kuniar Char village in Ishwarganj upazila of the district early Monday. The arrestee is Murtaz Ali, 50, a member of Maizbagh Union Parishad. Murtaz is accused in five cases, including one for murder, said Burhan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ishwarganj Police Station.
