3 women die drinking liquor

Three women, who fell sick after “taking excessive liquor” in Munshiganj’s Gajaria upazila last night, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital this morning.

The deceased were identified as Chamely, 26, a cleaner in a shipyard, her sister Chaina, 33, and their paternal aunt Josna, 43, hailing from Sundarganj of Gaibndha, our Munshiganj correspondent reports quoting police.

Chamely and Chaina died at the DMCH around 10:00am while Josna died around 12:00pm, Inspector Bachchu Miah, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, told The Daily Star.
