Trader killing case, 7 held

A joint team of detectives and police in separate drives arrested seven people in Gabtoli and Shajahanpur upazilas of the district on Friday on charge of killing a local trader over a week ago.

They also seized a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and one motorbike from their possession, said Additional Superintendent of Police Arifur Rahman.

The arrestees are Rashedul Islam alias Biplob, 42, Md Ibrahim, 22, of Gabtoli upazila and Md Zakaria, 21, Abdul Kaium alias Rony, 21, auto-rickshaw driver Abdul Kafi, 22, Md Al-Amin, 21, and Abdur Rahim, 20, of Shajahanpur upazila.
