Two held on rape charge

Madhupur police arrested two youths on Monday on charge of raping a girl. 

The arrestees are Arif Hossain, 24, and Aminul Islam, 23, of Jalchhatra village in the upazila.

The two abducted the girl when she along with her cousin was going to their relative's house at Ghughur Bazar area in the upazila, said Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Madhupur Police Station.   

They took her to a nearby forest and raped her, the OC added.

Being informed by her cousin, a patrol team of Madhupur police went there and arrested the duo while they were fleeing after raping the girl.
