Two kids drown

Two minor boys drowned in ponds under Agailjhara upazila of the district on Saturday. The deceased are Mahin Sardar, 2, son of Abdul Alim of Jobsen area, and Angkan Das, 2, son of Manik Das of Bakal village in the upazila. Locals said Mahin fell into a pond adjacent to his house while playing beside it around 3:00pm. Angkan drowned when he slipped into a pond beside his house in the evening, Officer-in-Charge Monirul Islam of Agailjhara Police Station said.
