Two 'robbers' killed in mob beating

Two suspected robbers were killed in a mob beating at Leshiara village in Kasba upazila of the district early yesterday. 

Identity of the deceased could not be known.

Mujibur Rahman, sub-inspector of Kasba Police Station, said a gang of robbers stormed into the house of one Jamir Miah at the village at around 2:00am. They confined the family members to a room at gunpoint and looted valuables.
Hearing the news, locals rushed in and caught the two. Other members of the gang managed to flee with the booty. They beat up the duo mercilessly, leaving them dead on the spot.
