‘Andhar’ teaser offers first glimpse of death, mystery and black magic
The first poster for Raihan Rafi’s horror film “Andhar” was unveiled some time ago, with the characters’ looks generating considerable interest among audiences. Since then, anticipation had been building for the teaser. The wait finally ended on Thursday with the release of the film’s much-awaited teaser.
Running for one minute and 26 seconds, the teaser offers glimpses of death, mystery, black magic and a chilling world of horror, with suspense woven throughout.
It opens with a frightening hand reaching towards a woman standing in front of a mirror. Against an ominous background score, the teaser moves through a series of unsettling images — a lifeless body lying in a bathtub, a bloodied hand, a mysterious figure in a dark forest and scenes depicting strange rituals associated with black magic.
Nazifa Tushi appears as a distressed and mysterious woman who seems to have caught the attention of a sinister force, while the teaser also hints at black magic as a central element of the story.
Gazi Rakayet and Chanchal Chowdhury appear only briefly, with little revealed about their characters. Siam Ahmed, however, receives considerably more screen time, although the nature of his role remains unclear. He is seen contemplating a dead body in one scene and in an action sequence in another. Towards the end, a shot of Siam with glowing blue eyes adds another layer of mystery.
The film is reportedly a big-budget production. Its story has been developed by Shakib Chowdhury, Bassbaba Sumon and Adnan Adib Khan.
Alongside Siam Ahmed, Nazifa Tushi and Chanchal Chowdhury, the cast includes Mostafa Monwar, Farrukh Ahmed Rehan, Afsana Mimi, Gazi Rakayet and Tanjika Amin, among others.
The teaser also confirms that “Andhar” is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in October.
