Following the completion of filming, the star-studded film “Andhar” was officially announced last year, with its makers revealing that it would hit theatres in 2026. Since then, there has been little to no update on the project.

Sumon is also directly connected to the film’s story. He co-wrote “Andhar” with Shakib Chowdhury and Adnan Adib Khan of Cryptic Fate. Speaking about the project, Sumon described it as a film of a different kind—one that blends horror with comic relief, action, thriller elements, and even touches of detective fiction. He added that such a genre combination has not been seen before in Bangladeshi cinema.

However, it was a single moment that quickly caught public attention—a frame featuring Shakib Khan with director Raihan Rafi and actor Chanchal Chowdhury. The trio, who previously collaborated on “Toofan”, were seen sharing a warm exchange, embracing and celebrating their recent successes.

However, she pointed out a few limitations. “Personally, I felt that if certain parts were shortened or a few characters removed, it might have felt more cohesive,” she added.

The ‘whistle’ seems to be blowing loud for Raihan Rafi as he gears up to present what could be one of the most experimental films of his career, with “Pressure Cooker”.

On Friday evening, the third poster of the film was unveiled, with Rafi sharing it on social media and announcing that he is dedicating the film to the late filmmaker Tareque Masud.

With the poster release, Raihan Rafi also confirmed that “Pressure Cooker” is set to hit theatres across the country during Eid-ul-Fitr.
