Popular drama ‘Eta Amaderi Golpo’ nears its end
In recent times, television directors have increasingly turned to family-centred narratives in serial dramas, which have also gained considerable popularity. One notable example is “Eta Amaderi Golpo", directed by renowned director Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz. Inspired by the Pakistani series “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum”, the drama explores themes of familial bonds, love, conflict, and compassion. It airs on Channel i every Tuesday and Wednesday, and is later available on the YouTube channel Cinemawala on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Since its premiere last November, the drama has remained in the spotlight. Characters such as Fahad, Samir, Mehreen, and Sayra—as well as the parents and extended family members—have all been widely appreciated. A total of 46 episodes have aired so far. Now, the serial is approaching its conclusion. Filming wrapped up yesterday, although the director has not disclosed the final episode count.
Present on the final day of shooting were Irfan Sajjad, Khairul Basar, Keya Payel, Sunerah Binte Kamal, Monira Mithu, Intekhab Dinar, and Deepa Khandakar, among others. During breaks in shooting, they shared their thoughts and experiences, noting that although filming has ended, the emotional resonance of the drama will remain with them for a long time.
This marks the first television serial for Sunerah Binte Kamal.
While the director's previous television serials such as “Graduate”, “Mic”, and “Chander Nijer Kono Alo Nei” were also well received during their run, this drama has surpassed them all.
