Eight bands to perform at ‘Rocka Rolla Reforged’ at KIB
After a relatively slow concert season in Dhaka due to security-related restrictions, live music events are gradually making a comeback in the capital. Following the recent Indie Fest concert featuring artistes from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan, another major rock event is now set to take place in the city.
A large-scale concert titled “Rocka Rolla Reforged” will be held on May 15 at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB).
Organised by Team Alpha, the concert will feature performances by eight Bangladeshi bands and artistes, including Warfaze, Nemesis, AvoidRafa, Mechanix, Easy, Blue Jeans, A K Rahul, and Prisoners.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 4 pm, while gates will open for audiences from 2 pm. Advance ticket sales have already started through the online platform Tickify.
The participating bands have also shared video messages inviting fans to attend the event, expressing hope for a vibrant night filled with live rock performances and energetic crowds.
According to the organisers, the response to advance ticket sales has been encouraging so far. They expect nearly 3,000 attendees at the concert.
In a statement, the organisers described the event as “one night, eight bands, thousands of rock fans, and an energy that can only be felt, not explained.”
They added that the concert is not just another music event, but a gathering aimed at keeping the spirit of rock music alive despite recent challenges, while also introducing the power of live music to a new generation of listeners.
