FIFA World Cup 2026: Who will perform at Canada’s opening ceremony?

The FIFA World Cup 2026 celebrations are set to continue in Canada with a star-studded opening ceremony in Toronto on June 12. Among the highlights of the event will be a live performance of “Siir Siir” by global star Nora Fatehi, French singer Vegedream, and Bangladeshi-American DJ Sanjoy.

Canada will host its official opening ceremony ahead of its group-stage match against Bosnia and Herzegovina at Toronto Stadium. The event is scheduled to begin 90 minutes before kickoff and is expected to showcase the country’s cultural diversity and artistic talent.

The ceremony will feature performances of the national anthems of both competing nations. Renowned Canadian singer Alanis Morissette will perform Canada’s national anthem, while Aleksandar Gajić will present the anthem of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Actor and comedian Will Arnett, who serves as a FIFA World Cup 2026 ambassador, will also participate in the ceremony. He is set to welcome fans to Toronto and celebrate the spirit of unity and togetherness that defines the tournament.

The event will also spotlight Canadian talent, featuring performances by acclaimed artistes including Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, and William Prince.
