The exhibition “Dharon”, currently underway at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, reexamines folk art in Bangladesh, positioning it as a dynamic and evolving part of contemporary visual practice.

Despite their distinct artistic positions, the participating artists share “a commitment to authenticity and artistic integrity,” offering “a nuanced and contemporary perspective on Bangladesh—introspective yet expansive, grounded yet globally resonant.” The exhibition is open to visitors from 10 am to 5 pm, with visits on Saturdays and Sundays available by appointment only.

A new group exhibition at Bhumi Gallery is bringing together a range of emerging artists through a simple but effective idea: working within small canvases.
