Ador Azad-Puja Chery starrer ‘Nakphuler Kabbo’ exits Eid release lineup
Bengal Multimedia had initially announced the release of “Nakphuler Kabbo” during Eid-ul-Azha. However, no promotional activities were observed around the film, and the production house has now officially withdrawn it from the Eid release race.
In the Bengal Multimedia-produced “Nakphuler Kabbo”, directed by Aalok Hasan, Ador Azad and Puja Chery appear in the lead roles. This marks their first on-screen pairing, later followed by collaborations in two additional films. While those films, “Lipstick” and “Tagar”, have already been released, “Nakphuler Kabbo” is still awaiting release. Although there was a possibility of it arriving in theatres this Eid, the release was ultimately postponed at the last moment.
Set against a rural backdrop, “Nakphuler Kabbo” is directed by Aalok Hasan and reportedly tells a timeless story of love and longing, exploring themes of resistance against the intimidation and oppression of powerful figures in society.
The film’s shooting began in 2022, when it was originally titled “Nakphul”. However, the title was later changed following an objection from the censor board, as another film with the same name already existed, according to the director.
