‘Michael’ to release in Bangladesh tomorrow alongside global premiere

Fans of Michael Jackson will not have to wait long, as “Michael” is set for an international release tomorrow (April 24), with Bangladeshi audiences also able to watch it at Star Cineplex on the same day as its global premiere.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film stars Jaafar Jackson in the lead role as Michael Jackson. The cast also includes Miles Teller, Colman Domingo, Kat Graham, Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Kendrick Sampson, and Juliano Krue Valdi. Beyond highlighting his musical legacy, the film explores Michael Jackson’s personal journey — from his early days as a young talent in the Jackson 5 to becoming one of the world’s most influential entertainers. Audiences will get an intimate look at his life beyond the stage, along with defining moments from his solo career and the beginnings of his remarkable rise to fame.

The film also portrays several important figures in Michael Jackson’s life. Colman Domingo appears as his father, Joe Jackson, while Nia Long portrays his mother, Katherine Jackson. Jessica Sula plays his sister, La Toya Jackson. Other influential figures from the music industry also appear in the film, including Berry Gordy, music executive Suzanne de Passe, and Diana Ross.
