Actor Tania Brishty, whose Eid releases received praise from viewers, is currently undergoing treatment in Chennai following multiple brain surgeries.

According to a report by Prothom Alo, around 10 of her dramas aired during Eid, drawing positive audience feedback. Viewers praised her performances in works such as “Suptader Bari” and “Futani Babu”, with many highlighting her natural acting and screen presence.

Despite the response, the actor has remained largely inactive on social media—unlike previous years when she actively promoted her Eid releases. She is now focused on recovery after undergoing her second brain surgery and is preparing for a third.

Brishty fell ill in mid-February and was later diagnosed with a brain tumour. It was surgically removed the same month. After initial treatment at home, she travelled to Chennai on March 9 for further care, where she underwent a second surgery.

Speaking about her current condition, she said via WhatsApp, “After the surgery, I couldn’t handle emotional stress. I felt like a child and would cry easily. Now I’m better than before, but I still have some issues with my eyes and nose. I can’t focus for long.” Doctors have advised her to remain at rest.

Responding to the praise for her Eid releases, she said, “I’m happy to hear the appreciation, but I don’t even remember when I shot these dramas. I was undergoing treatment during Eid and couldn’t think about my work.”

She added that she recently watched the trailer of “Suptader Bari” and became emotional. “I cried even while watching the trailer. Later, when I tried to watch the drama, I had to stop because it was affecting my health. I will watch all my work once I feel better,” she said.

Brishty described “Suptader Bari”, directed by Imraul Rafat, as one of her favourite projects. She said the experience taught her a great deal and would remain one of the most memorable works of her career.

“Family is everything. Losing loved ones or relationships is one of the most painful experiences. I felt that deeply while working on this project. I may not be the best actor, but with ‘Suptader Bari’, I felt I truly performed,” she said.

Regarding her treatment, Brishty confirmed that a third surgery will be required. “Doctors have said it cannot be done immediately. It will take a few months of preparation before the neurosurgeon proceeds,” she said.

The actress expressed hope of recovering soon and returning to her work.
