Responsibilities, shared joys define Eid for Tawsif Mahbub
Festivals often mark more than just celebrations, they reflect how life evolves, the people we care for, and the responsibilities we carry. For actor Tawsif Mahbub, Eid has taken on a deeper meaning since marriage, transforming from a personal celebration into a day of shared joy and family togetherness.
“Eid and other festivals before marriage were quite different for me; they were mostly focused on my own family and friends,” he recalls. “But after marriage, the first Eid made me realise that things had changed. I now have an extended family, and on top of that, I have responsibilities toward both families.”
For Tawsif, Eid day is a time reserved for family, a chance to reconnect, celebrate, and make memories together. “It’s a day to spend quality time with loved ones,” he says. The actor adds that sharing joy with family has become the highlight of his festive season, and he cherishes these moments of togetherness more than ever.
This year, Eid also comes with an extra dose of excitement for his friends and colleagues. Tawsif mentions that co-actors Siam Ahmed, Sabila Nur, and Tasnia Farin will have films released during the holiday. “I’m really excited for their releases,” he says. “I hope to watch the films during Eid and celebrate their success alongside my own family celebrations.”
For Tawsif Mahbub, Eid is no longer just a festival—it is a reflection of life’s changes, the joy of extended family, and the shared happiness of both personal and professional milestones.
