‘This boycott is nothing but drama’

18 film-related organisations have decided to boycott Zayed Khan. The decision was taken at a meeting held yesterday. Zayed Khan spoke to us over the phone, expressing his point on the issue.

"I had said that there will be more conspiracy after I had received the verdict of the court,' he said. "This issue is just a part of that conspiracy."

 According to the actor, he was unaware of the fact that he has been boycotted. "This is very silly. We usually boycott a person when he/she does something that is against the benefit of an organisation," he asserts. "What had I done against their organisation?"

"No one will be allowed to enter the premises during the voting period – this was decided in the presence of Sohanur Rahman Sohan. This can be confirmed from the chief election commissioner," he further states. "How am I and what power do I have to keep the members of other organisation away from the venue?"

The actor confirms that he will keep carrying out his duties with full dedication. "Such decision won't affect my work," he says.

"There were no representatives from the Cholochitro Shilpi Samity or the Director's association. Then, who are these people who are claiming to be a part of these 18 organisations? I believe, this boycott is nothing but drama," he concludes.
