Eid is synonymous with joy—a grand celebration that brings people closer to their loved ones. During the holiday, many travel home, while others take the opportunity to vacation elsewhere. Celebrities are no different; they, too, spend Eid in their own ways. Some are abroad, while others remain in Dhaka. Here’s a glimpse of where stars are this Eid.
Popular actor Misha Sawdagor has his family based in the United States, though he primarily lives in Bangladesh. Whenever he gets time off, he flies to be with them—and this Eid is no exception. “There’s a unique joy in spending Eid with loved ones,” he shared.
Acclaimed actor Zahid Hasan is spending Eid in Dhaka this year. Although he often travels to his hometown Sirajganj during the holidays, he stayed back this time.
Legendary actress Babita, who recently returned from Canada, is in Dhaka this Eid. She visits her only son there every year. “I’m in Dhaka, but my heart is with my child. I miss him more during Eid,” she expressed.
Veteran actor Tariq Anam Khan is spending the holiday in Bangkok, having planned the break in advance amid his year-round acting commitments.
Former leading actress Rozina, who sometimes spends Eid in London, is celebrating in Dhaka this year. “Eid means happiness and smiles. I wish everyone a joyful Eid,” she said.
Actress Azmeri Haque Badhan is also in Dhaka, with her new film “Bonolota Express” releasing this Eid—making the occasion doubly special. Directed by Tanim Noor and based on a story by Humayun Ahmed, the film may see her visiting cinemas to engage with audiences.
Actor Siam Ahmed, whose film “Rakkhosh” released this Eid, is also in Dhaka. He plans to visit theatres and interact with viewers about his film.
Actress Keya Payel, known for her frequent travels, is spending this Eid at home with her family. “I’m giving time to my family this Eid—it’s been wonderful,” she said.
Beloved actor Azizul Hakim is celebrating in Dhaka with his family. “Eid is all about joy, and that joy multiplies when shared with loved ones,” he noted.
Actor and director Salahuddin Lavlu is also in Dhaka, though he may travel to his hometown Kushtia. “It always feels good to be with loved ones during Eid,” he said.
