Working with Shakib Khan is my biggest achievement of the year: Sabila Nur
Popular actor Sabila Nur has described working opposite megastar Shakib Khan as the biggest achievement of her career this year, marking a significant turning point as she transitions from television to cinema.
Having largely stepped away from regular television dramas, Sabila made her film debut in "Taandob", directed by Raihan Rafi, where she starred alongside Shakib Khan. The pairing drew widespread attention during last Eid-ul-Azha, particularly after the song "Lichur Bagane" became a massive hit among audiences.
Reflecting on the year, Sabila said the experience stands out as her most memorable professional milestone.
"My biggest achievement in 2025 was acting in a film with megastar Shakib Khan. Experiencing the audience's love so closely after the film's release was also a huge accomplishment for me. All in all, this year will remain very special in my life," she said.
Sabila is currently preparing for her next major film "Bonolota Express", which is being produced with an Eid-ul-Fitr release in mind. Directed by Tanim Noor, best known for "Utshob", the film features an ensemble cast including Chanchal Chowdhury, Mosharraf Karim, Sariful Razz, Shamol Mawla, Zakia Bari Mamo, Badhan and Intekhab Dinar, among others. The film is based on Humayun Ahmed's novel "Kichukhon".
Speaking at the film's recent press conference, Sabila expressed her excitement, saying, "Working with so many accomplished actors is incredibly exciting for me. Playing such a beautiful character in a Humayun Ahmed story is something I consider a major achievement in my career. I will try my best to meet audience expectations," she said.
Meanwhile, Sabila has stepped away from another upcoming film, "Rakkhosh", opposite Siam Ahmed, which is also targeting an Eid release. Explaining her decision, she said she had committed to "Bonolota Express" several months earlier and that the shooting schedules of the two films clashed.
"Both films have strong, demanding roles and require long shooting schedules. I felt it wouldn't be professional to do both at the same time. Since I had already committed to Tanim Noor's project, I chose 'Bonolota Express'," she added.
