Lightning strikes kill 2 in Chapainawabganj

Two people were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Chapainawabganj today.

The victims were identified as Biday Linda (52) and Yeasin Ali (14), reports our correspondent quoting police.

Md Selim Reza, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gomastapur Police Station said, Bidai Linda was struck by lightning while he was working in a paddy field in Sonabar village. He passed away on the spot, the OC said.  

Yeasin Ali of Boro Dadpur Schoolpara village died on the spot after being struck by lightning while he was cutting grass for his cattle near his home, the OC added.
