Moderate earthquake felt in Ctg, Bandarban

A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, jolted Chattogram, Bandarban and adjoining areas this afternoon.

The earthquake originated on Myanmar-India border area around 4:12pm, according to Bangladesh Met Office bulletin.

The epicentre of the tremor was 352km east-southeast of BMD Seismic Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka, said the met office.

There was no immediate report of damage or casualties in the quake.
