2 die of Covid-19 in 24 hours, 36 infected

Bangladesh logged two Covid-19 deaths and 36 fresh infections in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country rose to 29,126 and the death rate is now 1.49 percent.

The total number of cases rose to 19,52,352, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 0.67 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.01 percent, said the press release.

A total of 5,454 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 355 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,91,197 and the recovery rate at 96.85 percent, added the release.

Of the deceased, both were women, said the release.
