Covid-19: 1 death, 239 cases recorded in 24 hours

At least 239 new infections were recorded and one person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 1.75 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.28 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,112 and the mortality rate stands at 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,49,725 added the release.

A total of 13,667 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 1,922 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period.

The deceased was a male, reported from Chattogram division.
