Covid-19: 20 new infections, no deaths in 24 hours

No Covid-19 death was reported in the 24 hours till 8:00am today, said a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains 29,438 and the mortality rate is 1.45 percent.

At least 20 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded in this 24-hour period. The total number of cases meanwhile rose to 20,36,948, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 0.85 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.45 percent, said the press release.

A total of 2,362 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 63 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,86,857 and the recovery rate at 97.54 percent, added the release.
