Covid-19 positivity rate 5.48%, 11 deaths recorded in 24hrs

At least 1,406 new infections were recorded and 11 people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 5.48 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.55 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,016 and the mortality rate stands at 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,41,057, added the release.

A total of 25,667 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 6,936 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 17,93,082 and the recovery rate at 92.38 percent, added the release.

Of the 11 deceased, five were male and six were female.

Of them, one was between 0-10 years old, one was within 21-30, one was between 31-40, one within 41-50, one between 51-60, one was between 61-70, three were within 71-80, and three were between 81-90 years old, added the release.
