Covid positivity rate now 1.77%

At least 198 new infections were recorded and three people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 1.77 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.32 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,108 and the mortality rate stands at 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,49,253, added the release.

A total of 11,183 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 1,821 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period.

The deceased are all men, reported from Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Barishal divisions.
