No Covid-19 death for 4th consecutive day

No Covid-19 death was reported for the fourth consecutive day today, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,118 and the death rate is 1.49 percent.

At least 43 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded in the 24 hours till 8am today. The total number of cases rose to 19,51,282, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 0.54 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.15 percent, said the press release.

A total of 7,971 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 673 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,77,804 and the recovery rate at 96.23 percent, added the release.
