One dies after 4 straight days without Covid-19 deaths

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,119 and the death rate stands at 1.49 percent.

At least 81 new infections were recorded during the period, taking the total number of people infected to 19,51,363, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 0.86 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.14 percent.

A total of 9,534 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 993 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,78,797 and the recovery rate at 96.28 percent, added the release.

The lone deceased was a female, aged between 61-70 years, added the release.
