One dies from Covid, 124 more infected

One person died from Covid-19 while 124 more were infected with the virus in the 24 hours until 08:00am yesterday, said a press release by the Directorate General of Health Services.

A total of 2,259 samples were tested across the country during this period.

The daily positivity rate decreased slightly to 5.49 percent from the previous day's 5.87 percent.

With the new numbers, the total number of cases rose to 20,34,002 and the number of deaths to 29,412.

Meanwhile, 499 patients have recovered from the injection with the recovery rate now standing at 97.22 percent.   The deceased was a female aged between 51 and 60 years.
