Need to reinstate CTG system

With deep anguish we are watching the unrest. Forty three years have passed and the country continues to be in a flux; thanks to our politicians for their narrow self-interest.

The root of this situation is the non-participatory election of January 5, 2014 which was held by abolishing   the caretaker system. It was done solely on the wish of PM Sheikh Hasina; many members of her cabinet were against the step. People think it most unreasonable because CTG was introduced on the demand of the Awami League. Having created havoc to achieve its goal it cannot discard it just because there is a possibility that AL might not come to power if election was held under a neutral government. A good percentage of the people want the election to be held under CTG. Awami League always claims that people are with them, then why this reluctance? If they are popular they will again come to power with people's mandate. To save the country the government must immediately take steps to end the impasse.
